Friend or Foe Debate: That Social Media Causes More Harm Than Good

With billions of people using Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and LinkedIn as a way to interact with others, there is huge potential for businesses to engage with consumers. However, there are also a number of issues surrounding the use of social media – particularly in the PR industry.

This debate will raise many arguments for and against social media as a PR tool and give PR practitioners an insight into how social media can be a great way to add value to PR activities but also how it can cause problems for clients and employers.

Speakers:

Trevor Young is the PR Warrior
Rebecca Derrington, Founder of SourceBottle
Matt Crozier, Founding Director at Bang the Table
Daniel Young, Digital lead at Burson-Marsteller Australia
Jamie Verco, Director of Online Communications for n2n Communications
And your MC for the evening, Stuart Gregor, Managing Director of Liquid Ideas
